Operation Black Veil Operation Black Veil: A Legend of Spyro fan story; The Final Chapter Warning: Explicit Content (Vulgar Language, Violence and Gore, Drug/Alcohol usage, Mentions of Sex) ________________________________________ ~Overview~ ________________________________________ As doubts of Fenrir actually being on Cynder's side prove correct, Spyro plays a game of psychological warfare with Fenrir which he surprisingly wins due to Fenrir's flawed ideology. After this, Spyro and a guard named Olive team up after Spyro's convincing skills worked to free him. They find themselves running into Flame and Cynder in the hallways while trying to find their way around the mystery building they find themselves trapped in. ________________________________________ ~Confrontation (Part One, warning)~ ________________________________________ "So glad you could join us for dinner, I do apologize for the lack of light. After all, it's such a beautiful day today, let's get some light in the room!" A curtain over a large window curled revealing light from the burning city outside outside of the window. The fiery light from the city beamed down in the room revealing Makarov in the middle of the room with Fenrir sitting right beside him. "It wouldn't be a special event if somebody wasn't late" Makarov grinned right at Spyro "Come, have a seat. The show is about to start! Your friends are already here to sit with you" Makarov showed Album, Jovis, Solstice, and Nyx all chained to the ground with a piece covering their mouths. "Sorry, they wouldn't cooperate, so I had to make them a bit more comfortable. If you were smart you wouldn't do the same.." Makarov grinned "Check mate.." Spyro yelled "what is this for!?" Cynder grabbed Spyro's wing pulling him back "Spyro stop, let's play into it for a minute" Spyro looked back at her to think then agreed "alright.." A couple of guards grabbed Spyro, Cynder, Flame, and Olive. Makarov raised his eyebrows "oh what's this! One of our own turned against us? There's nothing I hate more than a traitor.. let him join our other traitor.." Spyro questioned "other traitor?" Cynder questioned his statement too. But she then realized there was someone missing "oh no.." Flame looked at Cynder "what? What else could be catastrophically bad right now??" Cynder looked down at their cuffed friends "they have Ozul.." Makarov laughed loudly and took a massive gulp of some mystery drink he had in his hand "now that we have all of our guests here, I think we're ready for the show to begin!" A light showed up on the left side of the room where the whole room could see Olive being chained to a platform "let go of me! I have a family!" Olivier tried to move his legs but there was little he could do to break free from the chains bolted to the platform he was standing on. The entire room could hear what sounded like chains moving at the speed of light, they then realized what the noise was. A large metal door was being opened by a spinning chain that slowly revealed the dark figures of three zombie dragons that looked animalistic. "What. The. Hell.." a few voices said in unison. Olivier tried wiggling himself out of the chains "no no, don't struggle. They like the smell of that" Makarov said. Fenrir looked away as he didn't want to watch. The zombie dragons walked closer to Olivier giving him a stare of an animalistic hunger. "Get away from me!" Spyro sprung out of his sitting state "stop this!" Spyro ran to Olivier trying to unchain him. Fenrir turned to Makarov "shouldn't you be stopping him?" Makarov shook his head "truthfully I'm surprised they didn't figure this out earlier, the reason I didn't chain them is because I want them to fight the zombies, to spice up the show.." Fenrir turned back to himself watching the show with his eyes squinted. Cynder turned to Flame "free the others, I'm going to help Spyro" Cynder ran up to Olivier's chains with Spyro. Flame ran down to the lower part of the room burning the ropes that held Jovis to the ground "Go help Spyro.." Jovis ripped the tape off his mouth "on it.. ouch.." Jovis ran up the upper part of the room where Olivier was. Makarov watched as the entire event unfolded, he watched down at the room with crazy shaking and twitching eyes "Yes! This day has finally come! Oh Fenrir! Our day is here! Welcome to the apocalypse, the end of days! Rulers of the wasteland, rejoice in the flames! Futures tumble! Legacies crumble! Thousands of years, and what have we learned?!" Makarov looked up at the huge window of the room seeing clouds start to cover the smokey sky. "As the sun sets on the empire, is there a future to be found? Hopes and dreams, now ashes on the ground" Makarov started dancing around like a psychotic imbecile "this show is missing something... The music! Cue the music!" Makarov snapped his talons. A band of dragons started playing heavy instrumental music. "Really is too bad you aren't on my side, Phoenix.. this music could use a great voice" Jovis yelled up at Makarov "I'll kill you you son of a bitch!" Makarov totally ignored the threat "just like that!" Fenrir looked at Makarov weirdly, then looked over the balcony directly at Spyro "I'm just here for one thing.." ________________________________________ ~Showdown (part two)~ ________________________________________ Spyro locked eyes with the zombie Malefor who clearly didn't have a thought process, he didn't recognize Spyro clearly. He just stared, animal like. "What did he do to these dragons.." Spyro knew he didn't have much time to think of a plan so he created time for himself. Quickly he blew fire in a curved formation in front of him as a way to keep zombie Malefor back. Spyro saw as zombie Malefor was the only one still in front of him. He started worrying about the other two and looked around frantically. "Where'd they go.." He turned around to see Cynder still trying to break Olivier free. "I can't spend too much time on one of them.." Spyro looked down at Flame trying to break the other dragons free. He looked back up at zombie Malefor and slowly moved forward towards him. "If he was confident right now he would have already attacked..he must be scared.." Spyro charged out of the wall of fire expecting to tackle Malefor but instead Malefor's huge claw grabbed Spyro before he could get too close and threw him on the ground "Ah, shit..!" Malefor tried to get Spyro while he was down but Spyro defensively turned his upper body to ice stopping Malefor from hurting him. Before Malefor had a chance to land another shot on Spyro he was tackled to the ground by an incoming Jovis. Spyro melted the ice on his body with his fire. "Spyro, go! Free the soldier!" Spyro nodded and ran over to Cynder who was now more focused on defending Oliver from zombie Ember. Spyro pulled a rock out of the ground with help from his earth element, he took the rock and bashed the chains holding Olivier until they broke. Olivier finally moved away from the chains "thanks, I owe you one." Spyro shook his head "just repaying my debt..now come kick ass with us" Makarov watching the whole thing looked over at Fenrir "now?" Makarov asked, Fenrir shook his head "just..a little longer.." Fenrir looked around the room but happened to notice Album and Solstice trying to break the door to the exit of the room. "Boss, we have stragglers.." Makarov looked over at them and squinted his eyes "They're trying to ruin my fun.." Makarov took a swig of his mystery drink. "Don't worry, they think of themselves as heroes, soon they won't want to leave, they'll want to save each other. That's what they always think" ________________________________________ ~Time to shine (part three, warning)~ ________________________________________ Nyx hid behind a flipped over table having an absolute panic attack while Flame defended his own against a zombified figure of his father. "Nyx! What are you doing?!" Nyx ducked their head as zombie Red threw some fire over at them "I don't know what to do! My element is useless here!" Flame suddenly got knocked over by the force of Red's tail hitting him. "Nyx! I thought you were a pro! But you haven't done anything to prove to me you are an actual asset to our team!" Red started trying to bite at Flame's neck like a feral dog, Flame started struggling to hold Red away and quickly was losing his strength "sometime today Nyx!" Nyx threw a crystal on the other side of the table and shot a beam of light onto it lighting up the entire room to the point that everyone within the room was nearly blinded. "Holy shit.." many voices said as they had never seen Nyx to their full potential. The lack of vision gave Flame a chance to slip away from his father. Nyx shot a beam of light over in Flames direction to keep him visually covered by the wall of light "now's your chance, Flame! I can't keep that wall up forever" Flame nodded and took a breath of preparation. Jovis started punching the living hell out of the zombie Malefor, beating him senseless. "Why won't you fuckin' die!" Malefor stood up after the beating he took from Jovis, and kicked Jovis in the stomach area which knocked him to the ground completely "Agh! Gah.. I think he broke something.." Solstice glanced over from the door for one second to see Jovis on the ground yelling in pain in a pool of blood. Solstice didn't say a word, she ran from one side of the room to the other at a speed in which could have been a record. "Somebody, cover me!" Malefor jumped up about to land on Sol when Spyro stopped him by pushing him away with his horns "work your magic, kid.." Solstice nodded and put her claws on Jovis "don't worry, I'll fix you." Jovis smiled "you're a good kid.." Sol smiled and healed his wounds quickly. Her strength was drained due to her element healing Jovis but she was still standing. Jovis stood back up slowly as if he never even had a scratch. "You're good to go, go give them hell!" Sol encouraged Jovis. Fenrir turned to Makarov "how long do you anticipate the zombies to hold out?" Makarov turned to Fenrir to answer his question "the zombies are only to get them tired. If they kill anyone, cool. If not, no worries. Once they're done with the zombies it will take little effort from us to crush them one by one" Fenrir looked down at everyone with an uneasy feeling "I see.." ________________________________________ ~Fenrir's flashbacks (part four)~ ________________________________________ Fenrir stared down at the room in mass chaos, His head totally zoned out. Soon he flashed back to an old memory. He sat in the middle of a dark room thinking to himself when a female dragon burst through the door "Babe! Babe!" Fenrir looked up at the female "what is it?" The female happily explained "this is actually happening! I'm pregnant!" Fenrir jumped up with excitement "yes!" They hugged each other and the female asked Fenrir a question "isn't it against the rules for you to be in a relationship while being a guardian?" Fenrir answered "nobody has to know..this will be our secret.." they hugged again. Fenrir's head skipped memories to the first time he ever saw Cynder as a egg "it's beautiful" he remembered his partner saying. But the rest of the memory was a complete blur to him. He then remembered the horrific memories of the day he was revoked of his placement. "Can you tell me exactly what I'm being replaced for?" Fenrir asked while crying a little. "You have disgraced the title of guardian, we found out about your secret lover, your coming child as well." Ignitus sternly looked down at Fenrir. "When you were accepted into the guardian temple I thought you were incapable of completing tasks necessary for a guardian to know, Since then, you have done nothing to prove to me otherwise" Ignitus explained "goodbye, Fenrir.." Fenrir stood up and walked over to the exit of the temple. He walked out of the temple and into the pouring down rain. Fenrir found himself fighting two other dragons trying to get to his partner that kept being dragged farther and farther away from him. "Let go of me you bastards! I've done nothing wrong!" That was the last time Fenrir remembered seeing his past lover. He soon snapped back out of his day dreaming and looked down at Spyro "Ignitus, I know you're watching. Your student dies today." Makarov looked over at Fenrir "now we're talking" ________________________________________ ~Moth into Flame (part five, warning)~ ________________________________________ Flame and zombie Ember stood facing each other. Flame closed his eyes for a split second to try and make his brain think that what he was about to do was not in the wrong. "Sorry about this Ember, this is your final day" the fins on Flames head transformed into what looked like a fixed angle of burning fire, his entire body eventually became lightly consumed in his own fire. Across the room Nyx noticed Flame's new look "hey Flame, looking good.. a bit hot in a literal sense.." Album hit Nyx on the head as they said that "ouch" Flame smiled a total badass smile and looked at zombie Ember now charging at him "it's cremation then.." Flame stood up on his two back legs and from his chest let out a massive blast of fire hit enough to be felt from all corners of the room "whoa, Flame! That's so cool!" Yelled multiple others scattered out around the room. Flame finally calmed down and the fire disappeared. What was left was sizzling bones in a pile in front of him ensuring Ember was gone for good. Flame smirked then looked up at Fenrir and Makarov "took out one of your henchmen! Before long that'll be you two!" Fenrir and Makarov both looked down at him with no intimidation. "What? Have nothing to say? I'd probably be speechless too!" Album gasped then yelled "Flame! Look out!" Flame turned around and before he could react, the fire on his body was put out in an instant. The multiple blades of long talons the zombified Red held in his son pierced straight through Flame's body. Album yelled "No!" And the rest of the room fell silent when they noticed Flame's impalement. Album ran over to Red doing everything in her power to separate Red from his son. The adrenaline in her body allowed her to make a huge ice barrier between the two that would otherwise take her longer to make. Album with tears in her eyes threw heavy ice at Red making him distraught "Sol! Assistance!" Solstice noticed Albums cries but because of healing Jovis before she was extremely weak. She basically forced her body to move as quickly as possible towards Flame. Eventually she made it to Flame's weak, frailing body. "Stay still Flame, I'll help you" Flame looked at Sol "you're already weak Sol, if you heal me now.. you'll die.. " Sol stubbornly put her paw on Flames injury "I don't care Flame, I won't let you die!" Flame removed her paw from his chest "save yourself, kid" Soltice started crying as Flame declined her help "no Flame, I won't let you die!" Sol forced her paw into his chest and started healing him. As Flame could feel energy coming back to him he saw Sol getting weaker quickly. "Stop kid! Let me die!" Solstice stubbornly shook her head "there's so much for you to still do in life, you have a kid, a lover, and friends. The only thing I have is someone I love waiting for me in the next life" Solstice sniffled while balling her eyes out "so do me a favor, finished this out for me! Use the strength I'm giving you..." Sol started talking weakly until she could hardly get out words "...and give... them... hell.." Solstice fell over in front of Flame who now had most of his strength back completely. "No, no no no no no.." Flame grabbed Sol's lifeless, powerless body that now had no feeling. "No, kid! Why would you do this.." Flame hugged her now fully gone body. He hugged her for a really long time, holding her with tears now in his eyes. Flame then pulled down her eye lids to ensure her peace. "Meet your special person, kid" "Flame! Could use some help!" Flame heard Album calling his name on the other side of the ice barrier that was already starting to melt. Flame jumped over the barrier and punched the zombie Red in the throat his a fire charged punch "whoa, that was cool.." Album said in awe of Flames moves. "You really have improved.." The zombie Red tried to fight back but simply didn't have the reflexes to combat what Flame kept throwing. Olivier then showed up out of nowhere holding Red's legs on the ground "now red dragon! Throw the final blow!" Flame took a deep breath as his firery fist blazed brighter than even before "sorry dad..this is for my friend" the fire off his fist melted the skull on his head "that's two scary monsters deemed powerless!" Flames confident laugh was interrupted by a slight whimpering cry from Album on the other side of the ice barrier. Flame turned the corner seeing Album holding Sol's lifeless body "she did this to save you, didn't she?" Flame nodded his head. Album held her tighter "show em how much hell an angel can give..Sol.." Album looked at Flame "put her at rest.." Flame nodded and kneeled down, slowly burning her body out of respect. ________________________________________ ~Iron Maiden (part six, warning)~ ________________________________________ The last zombie dragon remaining was the zombified Malefor, in which Spyro and Jovis were distracting the whole time. "Jovis! Show this undead abomination some shock and awe!" Spyro said to encourage Jovis. Jovis smirked and nodded and unleashed a lightning bubble that covered Jovis and Malefor. Malefor being trapped in this electricity bubble was left with only one option; attack. That however backfired as soon as Malefor lifted his first foot when the off balance of voltage going through his body almost immediately immobilized him. Jovis was about to throw the finishing blow but with the moves he just made he quickly got tired. His element quickly got weaker until it didn't work at all. Jovis tiredly fell back "could use some assistance.." Jovis looked at the zombie Malefor staring at him with a menacing stare. "Shit..need help!" Cynder suddenly picked up Jovis off the ground "don't be dramatic, watch me end this.." Spyro stood beside Cynder and together they both looked at each other and nodded. Spyro charged first with a badass smile. Smoke exited its way out of his mouth showing his fire was about to take over. Cynder soon joined in on Spyro's push when her claws formed a green outline showing she was using her poison. Spyro used his fire on Malefor as it burned bright to be a good distraction to compensate for Cynder needing to get up close for her poison. To their strategy, Cynder's poisonous claws dug into Malefor's neck before he could even realize as he was still being distracted by Spyro's flames burning bright. The deep stretches Cynder made clearly worked as a reddish black liquid substance gouged out of his neck relentlessly. For many seconds the zombified Malefor tried to keep fighting however ultimately he did not have the strength to keep going. And finally, the last of the three undead abomination zombie dragons were defeated. Spyro took a second to catch his breath then turned around to everyone else. "Status check everyone!" They were all about to answer until the brief silence was interrupted by the annoying noise of creaking metal swinging slowly. "What's that?" Flame asked and everyone looked around. Spyro looked up where he thought the noise was coming from when he quickly realized we was correct to look up. "Everyone, look!" Spyro pointed up and everyone looked as they all saw Ozul swinging a huge cage above them "there he is!" Album said "we need to get him down!" Cynder followed up with. The cage all of a sudden started moving over to the platform where Fenrir and Mack were at. "Anyone moves, and everyone in this room will perish!" Makarov said with drunk slang. Everyone below followed directions in case of the worst. "what is he doing.." Spyro questioned. Makarov pulled weak Ozul out of his small hanging cage. It had appeared Ozul was horribly beaten, what looked like it was near to death. He had no strength to fight Makarov. Fenrir looked to his side at a struggling Ozul. Makarov took one more swig of his mystery drink. "Water boy down there, I hope you're watching.. this is what happens.. when you turn your back on me!" Olivier looked up in terror as did the rest of the room. Makarov walked over to the edge of the platform where a high drop was. The entire room watched in horror as weak Ozul couldn't fight a beam of thick liquid heat pierced straight through his stomach. With a huge hole in his stomach, boiling hot from Makarov's element. Ozul looked down at his lower body and fell limp. Makarov let the dead dragon drop from the height. Cynder, Album, and Nyx all let out a blood curdling scream at Ozul while quickly drenched in tears. Spyro watched in horror as the dead dragon body hit the ground lifeless. Flame again was turned around vomiting at the sight of a dead body. Jovis's legs suddenly felt like noodles as he saw his friend die in front of him. The room went quiet for a creepily long time, as if Ozul was the only one in the room. Makarov turned to Fenrir "you're up.." ________________________________________ ~Focal point (part seven, warning)~ ________________________________________ Makarov opened one of the main doors of the room allowing the dragons to escape the huge room. The group of dragons looked at their escape and ran as fast as they could towards the door "come on everyone! Wait, where's Sol?" Cynder exclaimed and asked "That will be explained later" Flame said while running with everyone else to the door. Spyro was the last one but before he could make it out the door his head started clouding up completely with smoke and his nerves started triggering. The door closed before Spyro could make it out. Fenrir jumped down from the platform to stand a good seventy feet away from Spyro. "Watch closely Ignitus, your masterpiece dies today" Fenrir gave Spyro the biggest death stare. "Think you can take on a guardian?" Spyro gave Fenrir the same look in return "I think I can take on a traitor.." Fenrir's eyes shined purple and red as his fear effect was in full effect towards Spyro. Despite Spyro's relentless courage, he couldn't help but still feel the fear effects of Fenrir's element. His heart was ready to beat out of his chest and his breathing sped up drastically. Fenrir full force started sprinting towards Spyro. His eyes, a metallic purple and red as he was still using his element to his fullest potential. With Spyro damn near panicking from Fenrir's fear, he knew he couldn't be offensive, so out of a defensive reaction he stomped the ground making the floor around him nothing but pure ice to make it impossible to keep running towards him. Spyro however did not prepare for Fenrir lifting his wings and flying straight over the ice Spyro formed. Before Spyro could react Fenrir already landed a brutal blow on Spyro's face. Spyro was knocked on his ass by Fenrir in an instant "you lost your touch, purple dragon.." Spyro stood up still trembling in fear. "What's your plan here!? Kill your daughters husband? Think that'll work out for you in the end?" Fenrir grunted "will you kill your wife's father? That doesn't sound logical either.." they argued while fighting. "Cynder's heart is way closer to me, between us I promise I'm the one she chooses" Spyro yelled. Fenrir noticed his element was getting tired so he backed off of using it. As Fenrir's fear effect wore off Spyro gained back his courage. Spyro looked up "you're getting exhausted, you may be strong.. but you're also old.." Spyro's claw pulsated with electricity "now, reap what you sow!" Spyro touched the ground with his electricity after the ice he put on the floor had already melted. Due to Fenrir standing in the puddle he got a shock sensation. "Eigh!" Fenrir yelled in pain as he got shocked. Fenrir fell over in the puddle after the shock wore off. Spyro walked over to Fenrir and put his leg on him. "Stand down, and face your consequences.." ________________________________________ ~One last breath (part eight, warning)~ ________________________________________ Cynder banged on the door angrily not being able to get to Spyro "we need a way back in!" A loud, obnoxious, drunken laugh echoed through the hallways "come out, come out wherever you are!" Flame blew some fire into the pitch black hallway for everyone to see "Nyx, help me light this hallway" Nyx flared a light from their claw that lit up a good chunk of the hallway paired with Flame's fire. "Everyone, follow me, I know this building better than anyone.." Olivier exclaimed and led the group of dragons down each hallway to the side entrance of the big room. Olivier turned the corner and got knocked on the wall his back was facing. Makarov turned the corner and breathed liquid fire on the ground and made a wall out of it to prevent the rest of the dragons from coming over. "just you and me, water boy.." Olivier grunted in pain as the wind was knocked out of him from hitting the wall so hard "please, have mercy!" Makarov took the bottle of booze he had about a swig left in and smashed it across Olivier's head "Aigf!" Olivier screamed as glass shards smashed across his head. Feeling alcohol drench him with every ounce that was in the bottle. When Olivier could finally look up to see Makarov the last thing he saw was Makarov in a drunken slurring way saying "This is what happens to traitors" and Makarov lighting Olivier's weak, now flammable body on fire. Olivier died shortly after. The lava barrier was finally broken through from the help of Album's ice. "Olive!" Cynder exclaimed when noticing Olivier was unresponsive on the floor. Her head turned to Makarov who had a creepy, insane grin on his face "who's next..?" He said looking dead in the eyes of Cynder. Jovis then stood in front of Cynder for protection "you'll have to get past me" Jovis said while locking eyes with the drunken dragon. "Album, Cynder, Nyx.. go find a way to help Spyro.. Flame, we can take the big guy." Jovis said, everyone else followed along, Album, Cynder, and Nyx ran the other way with Nyx leading the way so the other two could see. The three dragons came to a stop when met with a four way hallway "shit, this whole place is a huge maze.." Nyx complained "how are we ever going to get to Spyro.." the group looked at all three of their options "what if each one of us takes a different path?" Nyx threw out the idea. "that could work.." Album agreed "just yell really loud if one of us finds the right path" Cynder said. The three dragons split ways and started running down the separate hallways. Album was quickly met with a door down her hallway, she opened it slowly to find a break room casual things in it "oh thank the ancestors, a water fountain, I was starting to get dehydrated.." Album drank the water like she hadn't drank in an entire week. "much better.." she backed away from the water fountain and continued searching. Cynder ran down her hallway which she found out turned into multiple other hallways "how fuckin big is this place.." Cynder ran to the hallway where she heard more voices coming from "it'd be so much more helpful if there were actually lights in this place" Cynder ran down to the end of the hallway where a large locked door was "this must be it.." Cynder tried barging the door open. The door was strong, but not indestructible, with every push Cynder could hear the door crack a little. Fenrir looked at Spyro and started using fear again, weakening Spyro's strength he had on Fenrir holding him down. This gave Fenrir a chance to throw Spyro off of him and get back on his feet. Spyro stood back up "you know, typically grown ups get over grudges" he said standing back up. "Your wits aren't as clever as you think, purple boy" Fenrir replied. Fenrir swung his claws at Spyro, one of his scratches caught Spyro's cheek and he started bleeding a little bit "hah! That was weak" Spyro said to make Fenrir angry. Spyro antagonized Fenrir more by shocking him with a small amount of electricity, not to hurt him, but to annoy him. "Good thing you aren't a guardian, you'd be nothing more than a liability in battle" Fenrir used the last bit of fear he had left to make Spyro disorientated "You shut your mouth!" By Spyro's surprise he was tackled by the old man with so much force even Spyro's strong, fit body couldn't shake the old dragon off of him. Spyro held Fenrir's sharp claws away from him trying to defensively prevent Fenrir's razor sharp claws from scratching Spyro again. "Get off of me you old bastard!" Fenrir driven by passionate anger stared down at Spyro in pure hatred. ________________________________________ ~Schism (part nine)~ ________________________________________ Jovis stared at Makarov until it hurt to look at the massive mad man in the eyes. "As romantic as this is ink skin, you're starting to bore me." Makarov moved towards the two dragons who by now were struggling to show their dwindling courage. Flame thought quickly and breathed fire on the ground as a natural barrier to keep the drunk back. "Hm.. bad idea, really bad idea.." Makarov said while laughing like a bloated idiot. He used Flames fire to his advantage and escaped the two by running down a hallway behind him which he knew as a short cut to a safer area. He ran as best he could when he was met with a lonely Nyx roaming their way through the huge building. "Poor lost lamb, meet your fate!" Makarov charged at the small dragon. Nyx had to think quickly if they were to survive this maniac of a dragon charging at them. Nyx threw one of their crystals on the ground which shattered it in many different places. Nyx shot their light on the crystal shards. The reflections on the crystal lit up the room making it hard for Makarov to see literally anything. "Smart little runt, but don't worry. You will be found" Nyx hid behind a table hoping that Makarov wouldn't find them, they covered their mouth to prevent them from showing any of their fear through noise. Makarov turned into a raging child and started going crazy. Eventually he flipped over the table Nyx was hiding behind. One of the legs of the table smashed into Nyx's tail which made them yelp in pain. Once Nyx made that noise Makarov almost instantly found them. Nyx screamed for help when Makarov grabbed them and slammed their back on the ground knocking the wind straight out of them. "Hard to believe you were once a soldier, you're such a weakling" Nyx tried to just simply move a muscle but they tried for nothing the wind was knocked out of them so hard they could hardly feel Makarov's deep claws penetrating their rib cage. "Say goodbye, Nevan.." Nyx struggled to break free and finally Makarov swung his claw on Nyx's neck, Nyx lost full consciousness seconds later and fell limp. Makarov stood up from Nyx's body and continued his attempt at a rendezvous to Fenrir. It didn't hit him until it was too late that he actually ran in a circle and was met once again with Flame and Jovis "we aren't done yet.." Flame said. Album ran now totally lost found herself in a room that looked like a tornado had gone straight through it. She stepped on the shard of a crystal when walking "ouch.." she looked down and pulled it straight out of her claw. It took her nearly blind albino eyes a few seconds to realize the dead corpse laying in the other side of the room. It took her even longer to notice it was Nyx. Album yelled in terror seeing the lifeless body of her comrade in front of her. Album bent down in front of Nyx as they lay dead "you will be avenged my friend, you and everyone else who's fallen to this bastard.." Album cried holding Nyx in her arms. Makarov stood in front of Flame and Jovis who had finally trapped him in the hallways "here is where it ends, old man" Flame said as smoke came from his mouth. Jovis began to pulsate with electricity "make this easy on us and stand down" Jovis said, Makarov laughed "so be it, I already killed two of your best..let's dance.." Flame didn't give the dragon time to keep talking and made the first move by swinging his tail at Makarov in which he grabbed the dragons tail and threw him into the wall beside Makarov. Just as he took care of Flame, Jovis charged at Makarov and actually stood a fighting chance with him. They butted heads and both tried fighting offensively. "It's a shame, you could have been a really great soldier for me. Too bad your daughter will know you died fighting for a pointless cause. Oh well, I'll just make sure she dies the same way as her father.." Jovis stomped on Makarov's foot to distract him for a split second while he rammed his head into Makarov's which gained Jovis some ground "you won't touch my daughter, and you won't touch anymore of my family" Flame jumped on Makarov's back and grabbed onto his neck trying to choke him out "die you bastard!" Flame yelled while grabbing his neck. Makarov struggled as Flame choked him and Jovis was pinning him down. Makarov struggled but was getting angry, with his anger his body got warmer and warmer. "Don't try anything stupid old man, it's over!" Flame yelled. His body got so hot that Jovis let go of him with his paws burning in pain "jeez.. it's so hot!" Makarov's body hot turned into a moving bag of boiling hot lava. He got so hot that even Flame had to let go. "What is he doing!?" Makarov laughed and stood back up "you can't kill me! I'm immortal!" Flame stood back "the last person who said that got thrown into a pool of acid..turns out he could die" The lava inside Makarov's burning hot body then exploded splatting hot lava all over the room. Flame wasn't badly effected by the lava however Jovis had no resistance to hot temperatures. Therefore, he screamed in pain as he was met with boiling hot lava in multiple places on his body. Jovis began running around and rolling everywhere to try and shake off the lava. Flame kept his attention on Makarov however seeing his body was slowly going back to normal. Makarov stood up straight laughing "what's wrong Phoenix? Can't take the heat?" Jovis yelled in agony trying to shake off the liquid fire. "Cool down!" Album said as she laid a sheet of ice on Jovis to cool his body down. Flame turned around "oh thank the ancestors you're here.." Album looked up at Makarov "Flame, he got Nyx" Flame's heart sank and broke into tears of anger "do you even think of the lives you've taken away?" Flame yelled at Makarov "I can ask the same, hypocrites" Makarov retaliated. Album stood forward "Flame take care of Jovis, let me have a shot at this asshole.." Flame nodded and turned back to help Jovis. It was now a locked eyes showdown, Album versus Makarov. Makarov laughed again with his drunk slang. "What a poor decision little girl. Let me teach you a simple concept you make not have heard of, but ice melts!" Album formed a thick barrier of ice between her and Makarov "Flame, go.. take Jovis and get him to safety!" Flame and Jovis both shook their head "we aren't leaving you, I'm down but not out!" Jovis said with confidence. Album's ice was starting to melt with Makarov quickly burning through it. "This ice won't hold him forever, stay on guard" Album said to the other two. Flame helped Jovis up "come on buddy, let's get moving" Flame helped Jovis walk down the hall. "Album, move with us, we need to fall back" Album looked back at them "I said I want a shot at this bastard, I'm gonna get it" Flame sighed and brought Jovis down the hall "she's stubborn.." Album formed a long, sharp Ice cycle and hid behind a pillar of ice while Makarov burned through her first pillars. "Just a little closer.." the second Makarov showed the first bit of skin when he first burned through the ice Album immediately stabbed him with the sharp spear of ice which pierced straight through Makarov's front left claw "urrg" he groaned in pain and pulled out the spear of ice from his claw. "Nice try, now you die.." Makarov lunged forward grabbing Album by the neck, he slowly lifted her up with her feet off the ground. "It's truly a shame such a pretty female has to meet her end this way" Album choked and struggled for her breath "I'm tired of undeserving others complementing me" Flame lunged at Makarov and bit him on the neck as hard as he could "die you bastard!" Album fell on the ground catching her breath after Flame threw Makarov off guard. It didn't take long however before Makarov gained his strength back and stood firmly against Flame. Makarov gave Flame a heavy punch to the cheek which knocked him over and put him in a small state of shock. Makarov looked at all three of the dragons, Flame on the ground after his face received a heavy blow, Album still regaining her breath from almost being choked to death, and Jovis still grunting in pain from the third degree burns on his body "a real shame you fakes call yourselves heros.. well trained dragons were harder to kill back in my day" Makarov kicked Flames body while he.was already down "as far as I'm concerned you're just kids trying to stop the inevitable.." ________________________________________ ~What needs to be done (part ten, warning)~ ________________________________________ Fenrir looked up at the ceiling and laughed like a maniac who finally got what he wanted "Ignitus! Cyril! Terrador! Volteer! Watch closely as your greatest achievement dies slowly to your biggest failure!" Fenrir drove his claws into Spyro's chest puncturing his chest with his sharp nails "Aigh!" Spyro yelled in pain. Fenrir smiled like a mad man down at Spyro as he saw blood leaves his chest. "Hehe, they say the blood from a purple dragon can heal any wound within a matter of minutes.. I can make so many good formulas with your fresh blood!" Fenrir laughed and drove his sharp claw into Spyro's chest even farther. Spyro felt weaker feeling the liquid in his body leaving as Fenrir put harder pressure onto the bleeding. "Now die you son of a bi-" Fenrir paused and Spyro stared confused at the old dragon who came to a sudden stop. Spyro then saw red blood mixed in with his purple blood on his chest. There was silence, almost silence, as Spyro heard heavy breathing while he looked up at Fenrir's face, the breathing didn't match Fenrir's however. Instead, Fenrir's breath slowed down and his face went lifeless. He looked down at his own chest to see a long, hook like, sharp steel blade go straight through his chest like butter. Fenrir got off of Spyro and the blade exited his back. Spyro looked up to see Cynder with tears filling her eyes and red blood on her tail. "I wasn't going to let him kill you" Cynder cried and fell next to Spyro "it's okay, you did the right thing" Spyro held onto her for reassurance. "Cynder.." Fenrir's weak voice murmured. Cynder stood up and kneeled before her dying father. Fenrir smiled as he looked up to her "thank you, for ending me.." Fenrir reached up and wiped the tear off of Cynder's cheek "take my strength, and end this war." Fenrir fell limp moments later as too much of his blood had left his body. The moment was broken immediately after, when one of the doors burst open by Flames flying body that Makarov threw at the door. Flames body twitched signaling he was still alive, but he was weak. "Flame!" Spyro stood up slowly holding his chest so more blood didn't spill. Cynder looked up from her father with tears filling her eye lids, she stood up tall and remembered the words her father told her "take my strength and end this war" she whispered to herself. Spyro grabbed Flame and stood in front of him to protect his dear friend. To Spyro's surprise Cynder jumped over the two and charged at Makarov full sprint, faster than Makarov could even react. Spyro watched in awe as his black dragon gave reason to why her former name was the terror of the skies. All within a flying motion her claws dug into Makarov's chest and her teeth laced with her poison element dig into his neck. "Augh!" He groaned but his pain only got worse when Album and Jovis came up behind him and stabbed ice through his front and rear claws, restricting his movement "Fu-ck" he groaned in serious condition. Makarov looked up at all of the dragons now surrounding him "None of you are allowed to kill me! The only one worthy is the purple dragon!" Makarov yelled and tried to get up but simply couldn't from being held down by the ice, he tried to use his element to set himself free but he was simply too exhausted to get any use out of it. Spyro stood up from holding Flame and gently put him down. His purple scales started to lose its color as he turned darker, slowly fading to black. "Spyro, no.." Cynder said. Spyro walked up to Makarov super slowly "those who you've taken away from, those who you've toyed with carelessly, do you know what we all think?" Spyro put his front leg on Makarov to keep him down and looked down at him with his glowing white eyes "it's your turn to suffer.." Spyro whispered "Cyril.." and put his other front claw on Makarov binding all four of his legs and his neck to the ground even more intense than Albums bind was. "Terrador.." rocks arose from below the ground, below Makarov stabbing him in the back and other non vital areas. Makarov yelled in pain "you sick bastar-" Spyro interrupted him "Volteer.." Spyro launched shockwaves throughout Mack's body which acted as a stun to him instead of hurting him severely "my body!" Makarov groaned. Spyro gave his dark smile and said to his piers "stand back everyone.." Album created a ice sheet barrier to cover her friends and Flame. "Ignitus.." Spyro said and raised hell fire from under Makarov which at first didn't have much of an effect on Makarov due to his elemental resistance to heat. Finally, after a few minutes of raising the fires from hell, Makarov's skin turned black, and his bones turned to char, the monstrous drunken dragon was finally dead. After Spyro's fire wore tired his strength quickly died off, he fell backwards and passed out from elemental exhaustion. Cynder broke the already thin from heat waves, ice barrier and held him "he's passed out" Cynder said and looked at the remains of Makarov "but that's our big worry gone.." ________________________________________ ~Album's journal (final part, two years later)~ ________________________________________ "Each day I wonder how I'm alive, why I above multiple others that day was decided not to perish. Each day I miss my fallen comrades more, it's a struggle for all of us. We may have won the war, but the after effects were devastating. Shortly after the actual story made news, civilians started to question even more now is Spyro could further manage an entire dragon city. Gatherings started to take place, quickly becoming riots. Finally, the council and Spyro himself decided he was no longer fit for the position. And shortly after a replacement was filled as a much more experienced, suitable leader took the royal spot of Warfang. To my knowledge, civilians of Warfang seem to be pleased with their new king. Tens of thousands of dragons were arrested for the aid of Makarov's plans and Warfang prisons were nearly filled within months. Warfang suffered greatly with thousands of homes and other structures being burned to the ground, the death toll, still counting even to this day. Despite not having the power Malefor did, Makarov had a even more intense impact on how Warfang was changed forever. As for what happened to all of us, Ozul was given a statue of honor right where his house used to sit, that statue is visited every single day by the child he saved while fires blazed around Warfang. Nyx earned a spot on the warfang honor wall with their service in the warfang military. They also received a memorial made completely of the crystals they collected for the school Nyx worked at. Solstice joined her boyfriend in the sky and was recognized by a visitation with her family. Her family received what was found of her body to cherish. It was notable that her family was not the easiest to track down due to the only details being given was that her family was very, very rich. In which by the way I was kinda jealous of their home.. But anyways, Breaking the news to Olivier's family was some of the most heartbreaking moments ive ever witnessed. Olivier had a beautiful wife, breaking the news to her was the worst pain I've ever. I knew it wasn't any of my business, but seeing her condition I couldn't help but give her and her two children some comfort. Jovis along with multiple of us was rushed to what was left of the hospital for help. His burns was not easy to recover from, he spent months in the hospital with many nights wishing he had just been killed by the magma. Fortunately, his daughter Nova was physically unharmed in the whole situation. It took an entire team of nurses to hold back Phoenix when Nova stepped in his hospital room. Even when heavily medicated, Jovis unconditionally loves his daughter. Flame was beat nearly have to death by Makarov and spent three weeks joining Jovis in the hospital with a coma. Finally he woke up and I was already by his side. However, we both decided soon after that we were moving out of Warfang, for good. As for myself, I thankfully didn't sustain many severe injuries. I did however find myself in a mob of interviewers trying to get the most info out of me. However, for the sake of Cynder's background dealing with Fenrir, none of the information can be disclosed to the public, all I can share is the injuries and status on Flame. (Meaning I cannot share this file to the public) Cynder left that day with no physical harm, but boy it put a toll on her mental sanity (as if she didn't have it bad enough) I believe at this point her mental health is holding on by the loving comfort her family provides. Speaking of, Spyro is the last one. He too went into another coma after he used too much of his strength, with the combined factor of blood being lost from his chest and him using the absolute extent of his elemental power, his body needed a break. Finally, almost a month later he woke up next to his resting wife at exactly three in the morning. Twenty eight days after the battle, Spyro was finally awake. It wasn't long before Spyro and Cynder as well as me and Flame all decided we would move out of Warfang. Spyro and Cynder moved back on their farm with their two babies and paid their loyal allies (Greta and Veers) exponentially for keeping an eye on their children. (Me and Flame also had to pay up) and I guess the two got really comfortable with their new lives because soon after the two settled back in their old barn.. it wasn't long before Cynder's stomach got big again. With their third child on the way the two dragon finally vowed they had finally retired to focus on their family lives. As for me and Flame, sometimes I still wanna kill him, but I guess that's all apart of a relationship, unlike the other two lovers, me and Flame are sticking to one child even if Flame doesn't like the sound of that. Unlike the other two me and Flame didn't want to live in a barn, rather (with the help of Jovis and Spyro) Flame built a cabin where we can raise our child. Though not big, it's everything we'll ever need. We've tried multiple times to convince Jovis to move out of Warfang with us but he's dead set on staying close to his daughter, in which I don't blame him for at all. Nowadays he's deep into his music career and is a rising star within Warfang. The most we can do now is live out the lives we've always dreamed of and raise our young, I'm afraid I've reached the end of this notebook, time for another.
